Important Updates! - 2026!
Hello from HART Cycling!
Forgive the unplanned months of intermission. After a busy end to the race season, off season adventures set off at a brisk pace until our logophile, Jeremy, concussed himself in a brawl with the pavement. This halted any typing/thinking involved updates for some time. Now we’re back at it! Just in time for 2026 momentum to be barreling full speed!
Structural changes, a 4 Pro roster, new sponsors and partners, a STACKED 2026 race calendar, and what to expect here on the blog moving forward!
Some success in CX for Jeremy pre-concussion
First huge update:
HART Cycling is merging with Accel Cycling, a well established junior/u23 program previously based out of Utah. In 2026, Accel Cycling is going national, and HART is coming on board as the Elite arm of the organization to become HART-Accel Pro Cycling.
This is a direction HART Cycling has had in mind since the very beginning in 2021: creating both a larger community and base for sponsor visibility and a clear pathway to the elite category for kids just falling in love with the sport. This merge will allow for many avenues of growth and help split the burden of sponsorship negotiation, race logistics, and other off-the-bike tasks.
Other things this merge will allow include: HART dividing and conquering across more events and disciplines throughout the season, HART can receive tax deductible donations through Accel’s 501c3, more training camps, and more opportunities for you to come ride bikes with us!
After three years of HART as an independent, entirely rider-run, three rider squad tackling the US Cups, National Championships, and World Cups, HART is excited to have Accel, their board of directors, and manager, Jason Ranoa, in our corner for the 2026 season. We are thankful for growth and new adventures and STOKED for team camp in January to figure everything out!
Next, meet Sydney Neilson!
Sydney is our new Elite Woman for 2026!
From Utah, student at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, and no stranger to trail-speed and podiums, Sydney will be an awesome addition to HART as we tackle an ambitious calendar. Previously racing for Imaginary Collective, Sydney’s accomplishments include 2025 Cat1 Enduro National Champion, multiple pro podiums in 2025, and World Cup experience in the u23s. We’re excited to have her on the team in 2026!
Sponsors and Partners:
With substantial uncertainty and volatility in the cycling industry, our sponsor and partner negotiations were a rollercoaster spanning from March to December of 2025. The result is some wild turnover, some expected, some blindsides. HART will be celebrating our partners who are going in a different direction in the coming months before announcing our new 2026 partners!
With it’s foundations in the 2021 COVID economy and HART Cycling coming into maturity as a team in this brave new world, our privilege to ride the equipment we ride and race the events we race is not lost on us. We are immensely grateful for each and every individual and brand who has come alongside us over the past several years. We part ways with several of our cherished partners with thankfulness and well wishes to their 2026 and onward. May our paths cross again on this two wheeled adventure!
While we are sad to see some of our partners go, we are incredibly excited to see what the future with new partners will look like! No spoilers yet, but HART-Accel is working with a new bike brand, new clothing sponsor, and a new tire brand among others! Stay tuned for those announcements come the first week of January! Keep an eye on this blog, on our Instagram, and on our Sponsors and Partners page for those announcements.
What to expect:
HART has a lot to share with you before the year is done. You’ll be hearing from us more often in the next few weeks as this blog, and our newsletter, celebrates our 2025 sponsors and partners.
Come January, we will be sharing the details of our 2026 sponsors and partners and getting you up to speed on our race calendar, direction for the season, and training camp opportunities where you can join in the pedaling fun!
As we hit race season in February and March, we’ll be back to race updates as well as behind-the-scenes for our 2026 YouTube series. We will also be posting training stories and gear reviews as we put hours in on the saddle.
Off season shenanigans:
With snow falling and races a couple months out, the HART Squad is settling into off season rhythms, putting in long miles, lifting weights, and putting plans together. With race season stretching from March to October, off season is a great time to get the hardest part of bike racing dialed in: the rest of life.
Sydney has one more race with CMU at Cyclocross National Championships in Fayetteville, AR next week before she’s done for 2025. You can find her race update on her Instagram!
First item of business in 2026, HART-Accel will be meeting up with the Accel junior and u23 squads in St. George, UT in mid-January for a team training camp. After that the season kicks off in Puerto Rico at the UCI Continental series races there!
Until our 2025 sponsor highlights,
Jeremy
